Welcome to the Basic Sciences/Pre-Clinical Sciences Department within the School of Medicine. Over the next two years you will learn anatomy, physiology, histology, embryology, biochemistry, …just to name a few. Medical School involves learning large amounts of material over a “seemingly” short period of time. Don’t worry yourselves because it will begin to make sense in the clinical years.
You will be required to work in groups with other students whose principles differ from yours…keep going and don’t give up. You will experience many sleepless nights especially during mid and end of semester…keep going and don’t give up.
Remember to laugh and play. Don’t forget family…you will always need them. Have fun!
All the best in your medical school life!
